New features and changes to the Printbox credit price list from April 1, 2026

Printbox is entering a new phase of development. Over the past year, we have expanded our network of locations across Slovenia, launched a new mobile app, and conducted a detailed analysis of our users’ printing habits. Based on these findings, we are updating the Printbox credit price list as of April 1, 2026.

The changes followed your printing habits.

Printing habits have changed in recent years. Younger users today tend to buy fewer credits at a time, even though credits are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase. This group’s printing needs are lower than they were a few years ago, so it no longer makes sense to offer such a large number of credits.

At the same time, we are seeing growth in the number of entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses that do not have a constant need for their own printer. Instead of buying or renting, they opt for occasional printing of larger quantities of documents on Printbox machines – without initial investment, without worrying about cartridges, paper, or service.
Printbox thus remains a flexible solution for anyone who wants to pay only for what is actually printed.

Network of 130 locations – expansion into new municipalities

Printbox currently operates at 130 publicly accessible locations across Slovenia. Over the past year, we have also expanded the network to new libraries and shopping centers:

● Merkur Ljubljana Vižmarje

With new locations in Postojna, Ajdovščina, and Kamnik, Printbox has become available for the first time in municipalities where the service was not previously available.

New mobile app (2026)

In 2026, we launched a new mobile app for iOS and Android, developed and tested throughout 2025.
The app allows you to:
● upload documents to the print queue,
● delete documents,
● purchase credits,
● view a map of locations,
● navigate to the selected machine,
● manage your user account (PIN, password, administrative settings).

The goal remains the same: the simplest and fastest public printing in Slovenia.

Update of the credit price list

In order to adapt our offer to actual user habits and increased operating costs, we are introducing an updated credit price list as of April 1, 2026.
The minimum price of €0.06 per credit is no longer sustainable due to higher costs, so we are discontinuing it. At the same time, we have adjusted the purchase tiers to make small and medium packages more accessible to the majority of users.

New pricing structure:

● up to €5 → €0.50 / credit
● over €5 → €0.20 / credit
● over €15 → €0.15 / credit
● over €40 → €0.10 / credit

Transitional period

Until March 31, 2026, credits can still be purchased according to the existing price list. With the change in the price list, we are ensuring stable operation of the system, further development of the service, and expansion of the network throughout Slovenia.
